What method of study would you prefer?
Think about what method of study would best suit your time, career
plans and your pocket!
Some things to bear in mind:
-
Competition for full-time study is usually tougher than for
part time study
-
Part-time and distance learning study are less likely to be
funded
-
With part-time and distance learning you will be studying
for longer and course options might be more limited
-
if you haven't started a career related job yet and a postgraduate
degree is an asset/requirement for the job you want full-time
study might be the best option for you
-
If you've been working in your field for a few years, it might
be hard to leave your job to attend university
full-time. Part time study will enable you to continue gaining
experience in the workplace whilst undertaking a new
qualification. If the course is relevant to your job, perhaps
your employer will contribute to the cost
-
Distance learning courses allow you flexibility but require
considerable discipline on your part, as you will be working mainly
on your own.
