General rules for telephone interviews
- Don't feel obliged to be interviewed by telephone if the time is
inconvenient. Make an appointment for a suitable time
- Make sure that you will have peace and quiet
- Have your application in front of you with examples
of situations where you have used the requisite skills
- Remember that you won't be able to see the interviewer's reaction
to your answers, so may have to ask if they would like more detail
- Be prepared for the usual interview questions
- Expect to be engaged in a lengthy structured conversation, based
on your application/CV
- Have pen and paper available so that you can make notes
- Have your diary to hand, you may be invited to arrange a face to
face interview time
